Meet Mary

AK_2015 (496)Coming from a family of 9 siblings, Mary was on the go at a very early age. She dabbled around in softball, was a Lifeguard and eventually found a passion in running.


After moving to Colorado from Wisconsin, Mary completed her degree at Regis University in Denver and started working in direct and e-mail marketing.

DSC_0040Mary also competed in 25 marathons but after several years of competitive training , she was sidelined with back and knee pain. She decided to go into triathlons in order to cross-train more.

Learning more and more the importance of periodization training, strength and conditioning, flexibility and proper nutrition through the periodization phases, Mary was able to have several successes in the triathlon field.

Mary has competed in many triathlons of all distances and qualified for the World Half Ironman Championships in 2011 and 2012. She also qualified for the Sprint National Championships in 2012 and the 5i50 International Olympic distance Championships in 2012.

In 2013, she completed Ironman Wisconsin where she placed at the top of her age group and was awarded “All World Athlete” by Ironman.

She recently completed the New Zealand Ironman as well.

Mary went on to study personal training through Lifetime Academy and the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She studied nutrition, exercise physiology, metabolics, kinesiology, corrective and performance exercise and lifestyle coaching.

She is also a USAT Certified Coach with certifications in corrective exercise and performance exercise. She is also a Level III Swim Stroke Instructor and a Fluid Running Instructor.

After spending 25+ years behind a desk and computer, Mary realized she craved people interaction and movement. She enjoys giving back to others and helping them with lifestyle changes and achieving fitness goals.
